We have seen the news reports and images of the violent protests that have thrown Kazakhstan into a state of chaos reverberating across the nations over the past few days.
We extend our thoughts to the members of SCIJ Kazakhstan and their families and wish them a safe outcome to this unrest. Attempts to reach some of them over the past couple of days have been unsuccessful.
Still, the only concern for the International Committee and the entire SCIJ Community is the well-being, safety, and a peaceful outcome for the people in Kazakhstan.
