PARTNERING WITH SCIJ IS EMBRACING JOURNALISM

Professional Journalists and growing

“Kranjska-Gora has hosted SCIJ three times.  The first time was in 1957. Few people even knew about skiing here in Slovenia (then Yugoslavia). SCIJ came back in 1966 when Kranjska-Gora first hosted World Cup ski championships, and again in 1979. Slovenia is now a world-famous skiing nation, but SCIJ was here first.”

Return on Investment

“It’s not every day that 200 journalists get together, especially not somewhere as far removed from a major center as we are. Once word got out that we were hosting SCIJ, it seemed as if the whole community wanted to buy in.

# of stories and growing

“I’ve met too many people who, just because they can Tweet or Blog or are on the Facebook claim they’re journalists. The problem is people today demand real information. Yes, it has to be timely.  But it also has to be factual, accurate, relevant and engaging. We liked working with SCIJ because they’re all professional, accredited journalists. Now that’s keeping it real.”
